Janice Joplin has been a local San Antonio artist since 1985, receiving her degree in Fine Arts from San Antonio College and participating in the Texas Clay Festival every year since 1993. She is known for her joyful and whimsical sculptural (and functional) clay art, including clay fest favorites like monster pumpkins, cats on caffeine, Fridas, witches, sassy ladies, and Day of the Dead sculptures.
