Shannon Hogarty is a ceramic artist and educator specializing in wheel-thrown forms, atmospheric firings, and intricate surface decoration. Originally from Long Island, New York, she earned a minor in ceramics while studying marketing at Hofstra University. In 2023, Shannon moved to Austin and decided to put her career as a graphic designer on hold to pursue art and teaching. She now teaches classes and workshops across Central Texas. Shannon explores texture, fire, and form through porcelain, pushing each piece to evoke both the forgotten and the familiar.
