Grace Eun Mi Lee is a Korean-Canadian ceramic artist currently based in the United States. She is widely recognized for her imaginative installation works and distinctive functional ceramics. After relocating from Richmond, Virginia, to Dallas, Texas, she founded emleestudio and has actively exhibited throughout Texas and across the United States. She is also a Ceramic Instructor at Glaze Ceramic Studio in McKinney, Texas. Lee received her BFA in Craft Design from Suwon University in 2005 and her MFA in Ceramics from Hongik University in 2009. From 2011 to 2014, she further developed her practice as an Artist-in-Residence at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, Canada. Her work explores the beauty and complexity of interconnected microcosms and the collective they represent, investigating how interactions with everything around us shape and transform who we are. She seeks to inspire her audience to embrace diversity and recognize the interconnectedness of all things. Her unique functional pieces are inspired by the diverse forms found within her installation work. In 2026, Lee received the People’s Choice Award at the 26th San Angelo North American Ceramic Competition. She has also received grants and awards from organizations such as the Ontario Arts Council, the Ontario Crafts Council, and the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition. Her work has been featured in television, magazines, and online publications.
