I’m a studio potter and musician based in Austin, Texas, and I’ve been working with clay for 18 years. Along the way I studied with Ishmael Soto, apprenticed with Ryan McKerley, and spent time in Costa Rica and Taiwan for residencies that deeply shaped my practice. Since building my own studio in 2017, I’ve been focused on highly decorated, functional, wheel-thrown porcelain pieces. My work is inspired by patterns largely — human made and naturally occurring. I’m very interested in cycles and how things change gradually through repetition.
