I am a full-time potter working from my home studio in San Antonio, Texas. I hold a BA and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin where I began my study of ceramics over 30 years ago. I have studied hand-building, wheel throwing and glaze chemistry at the Southwest School of Art and at workshops with some of today’s most well-respected potters across the United States and Canada. In addition to working in the studio, I teach hand-building and glaze development classes and currently serve on the board of directors of the San Antonio Potters Guild. My work is hand-built with soft slabs using a dark mid-range stoneware and is decorated simply with porcelain slip, cobalt brushwork, and a transparent glaze. It is oven, dishwasher and microwave safe and contains no lead. You can see more of my work on Instagram @PamelaBarclaySATX.
