Kassie Dilworth is a multidisciplined artist focusing primarily in ceramics for over 10 years. Her obsession with color and fathomless desire to explore and experiment with clay has led to her work incorporating various stains into her porcelain offering intense, vibrant colors presented within the clay itself with minimal use of glaze for functionality and additional details in her designs. The use of colored clay make each piece one-of-a-kind, the throwing of this clay on the wheel offers new excitement and surprise with each and every piece. Additionally, Kassie has spent these years working along side other artists exploring alternative methods of firing ceramic forms. The seemingly endless possibilities and results from these firings mean that she often features a variety of finishes utilizing techniques ranging from Saggar and Horse Hair Raku, to Obvara and more.
