Billy Ray Mangham has been working in clay since 1972. He is one of the founders of Texas Clay Festival and is currently the director of the Eye of the Dog Art Center located in San Marcos, Texas. His work is included in many collections including Delbert McClinton, Bill and Hilary Clinton, Dee and Terry Buck, Carl W. Block, John and Darlene Williams, The Blanton Museum, The Wittliff Collection at Texas State University, the San Angelo Museum of Fine Art, and the Contemporary in Austin, Texas. He holds a B.A. in Ceramics from San Jose State University in San Jose, California, a M.A. and M.F.A. in Sculpture from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
