I have been working in clay since the 1980’s, beginning first in college, and then continuing with classes at art centers and community colleges. I have also been teaching for at least 15 years in my home studio. I have a passion for both exploring the clay process and for interacting with students. I grew up in Michigan and loved playing in the woods, imaging large leaves for plates, and grass for food. This love for the natural world and all its rich textures has influenced my work.
