I have been interested and involved with ceramics since high school. Although my professional career was in computers and architecture, I have continued taking workshops and periodically working with clay. After retiring from the University of Texas in 2003, I began building my studio and in 2005 I started making pots full time. I like to work with porcelain fired in some sort of atmospheric kiln conditions, such as wood, salt, or soda. My pieces are functional and usually thrown on a potters wheel. They tend to emphasize surface movement, texture and color.
