Carol Schwartz Medina is a storyteller. Her work is a combination of real-life experiences as well as fantasies. She often uses her favorite foods and animals to make narrative sculptures about romantic relationships, mundane experiences, and awkward encounters. Carol received her BFA in ceramic arts from Texas State University in 2002, and her MFA in ceramic arts with a minor in printmaking from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2005. She has been making work ever since. She maintains an active studio at her home in San Marcos, TX.
