Lynn’s wheel-thrown and embossed slab ceramic art explores the graphic and textural possibilities found in the responsive surface of clay. Inspired by her native Texas flora and fauna, she uses hand carved printmaking techniques with Cuerda Seca wax resist glazing on mid-range stoneware to create forms with function. Besides having her own ceramics studio practice, Lynn is a Teaching Artist, spreading the love of clay at the Creative Arts Center, a non-profit adult art school in Dallas.
