Lucas McCain’s pottery is always moving towards quietness and simplicity. Both tradition and generosity appeal to him and have a way of shaping his work. Lucas has been a maker since boyhood. Growing up in the farmland of South Texas allowed him to daydream and draw inspiration from the landscape. In 2001, Lucas earned a degree in studio ceramics from the University of Wyoming. Since 2004, Lucas has maintained his pottery studio in Fort Worth, TX, where he lives with his wife and 3 daughters. He hopes that his pots will gently become a part of your daily life.
