Linda Gossett
In my artwork I include a snippet of the familiar hidden within a world of my own imagining. We all seek references that we can understand, something known, a way of making sense of the world. My goal is to bring the viewer to a primary concept, a moment of intuition that in turns arouses other images, emotions and memories. I create from a place of joy. I work intuitively allowing the pieces to develop (mostly unplanned) and tell me what they need to. What is the interplay between objects and people? I leave that up to the viewer to decide as I offer my art as a springboard for the imagination.
