Ed Taylor

My pottery, produced at my studio in San Marcos, Texas, is made from raku clay and glazed with the copper matte glaze.  The smooth, classical shapes of my pottery allow for an ideal surface on which this unique glaze can reach its colorful potential.  I hand throw, glaze and fire each piece myself.

The last ten years of my twenty-three year clay career have been dedicated to experimentation with the copper matte raku glaze, resulting in a marked improvement in glaze color that is evident in my present work.
